Legal Steroids – The Steroids Legally Available Over-The-Counter

Your steroids legally available over the counter in your country are legal steroids. Actually, the steroids approved by the drug regulating authority of your country are legal steroids. However, it does not mean that legal steroids in your country are legal all over the world.

So, it means that legal steroids in one country may not be legal in all other countries of the world, and it also means that illegal steroids may not be illegal in all other countries of the world. Hence, the legality of steroids varies from country to country.

In the United States, steroids stand in the list of controlled substances and drugs. The steroids that are approved by the US FDA for various medical uses are legal steroids in U.S. However, you can buy legal steroids only with a prescription from a doctor. The USE/POSSESSION/DISTRIBUTION of steroids without a prescription from a doctor is illegal and punishable federal crime in the United States.

However, before the passage of the Anabolic Steroid Control Act of 2004, which took effect on January 20, 2005, many of the anabolic steroids were legal steroids and were freely available over-the-counter (OTC) in the United States. The Anabolic Steroid Control Act of 2004 has put anabolic steroids and prohormones as well, on the list of controlled substances. Thus according to the ACT, the possession of the banned substances is a federal crime.

After the Federal Anabolic Control Act on March 1st 1991, prohormone substances designed for high testosterone production started coming into the markets. These substances claimed to have no side effect. So, Prohormone substances became legally available over the counter. They were vigorously publicized as legal steroids in the United States. Some of popular prohormone nutritional supplements were Andros – 4-androstenedione, 4-androstenediol (4-AD), 19-norandrostenedione, 19-norandrostenediol, 1-androstenediol (1-AD), and DHEA (Dehydroepiandrosterone).

Often referred to as legal steroids, Prohormones, also known as “steroid precursors,” are the nutritional supplements having effects similar to anabolic steroids. However, the United States Food and Drug Administration On April 11, 2004 banned the sale of Andro, saying that the drug has significant health risks commonly associated with steroids.

DHEA dietary supplements in the United States are often publicized as the products beneficial for a wide variety of ailments. DHEA dietary supplements are easily available in U.S., where they are listed as foods rather than as medications. However, in Canada, you need a prescription to buy DHEA. DHEA and DHEAS are usually marketed as legal steroids, but now the U.S. Senate has brought up a bill, which will make DHEA stand among the controlled substances under the category of anabolic steroids.
